The prices of aluminum circles for crafts are not stable. It’s almost impossible to get a fixed quotation from even the same supplier at different times. Firstly, the prices of semi-processed aluminum products are closed related to overall factors like aluminum ingot price, economical policies, political situation etc. Secondly, the craft aluminium disc price still fluctuates even when the factors above are steady, for it depends on the alloy, thickness, diameter and surface treatment of the circle you need.
The alloys of aluminum circles for crafts fall on five series: 1000, 3000, 5000, 6000 and 8000, including 1050, 1060, 1070, 1100, 3003, 5052, 6061 and 8011. Among them the first three series are the most frequently ordered. 1050 aluminum circle can simply be replaced by 1060 in most cases, for the two are similar in both chemical composition and mechanical properties. And the production of 1060 aluminum circle is more popular in China. 1100 has a stronger hardness than 1060. The three alloys of aluminium circles are the cheapest of all, provided that the specifications are common. 3003 circles are more expensive, for its performances are better in hardness and corrosion resistance, and 5052 is the most expensive of all, but it’s only applied to high-end crafts like pressure cookers. For most crafts, 1060 and 1100 are enough. They are made into strainers, pots, cookers, basins etc.
The most popular thickness scope of craft aluminium circles is 0.5mm to 2.0mm. If you need thicker ones, the price will be higher, for the punching machine can only produce thin circles, and thicker discs have to be cut by specialized cutting machines, the efficiency of which is lower and the manufacturing cost is higher. For the same reason, circles of diameters over 700mm are more expensive, too. As for surface treatment, mill finish aluminium circles for crafts are cheaper than anodized or coated ones.
Therefore, if you need a specific price, welcome to send alloy, thickness, diameter and surface treatment of the circle you need.
