A painted aluminum sheet for trailers can be used as the roofing, side panels or the flooring of a trailer body. It’s usually in sheet type rather than coil type, for its thickness can reach as much as 5mm, and it’s more convenient to further process sheets than rolls. A trailer aluminium sheet can be alloy 3003, 3105, 5005 or 5052, temper h46 or h44, thickness 0.5mm to 5mm, and width 1200mm to 2650mm. The front size of the sheet is usually PE of 16 to 20MIC, and the back side primer or expoy grey primer 5-8mic.
The painted aluminum sheet is used for trailers for the following reasons. First, it has good durability. An aluminum sheet has its own anti-oxidation function. Aluminum molecules combine with oxygen in the air to form alumina film. The summer covering on the surface of the aluminum plate can prevent the aluminum plate from further oxidation and form a natural protective film with self-protection function. Second, the strength, rigidity and load-bearing performance of the painted aluminum sheet for trailers are greatly enhanced by the addition of magnesium (5005, 5052) and manganese (3003, 3105) and other metal components. Third, all painted trailer aluminum sheets must pass the bend, corrosion, hardness and coating thickness tests before being allowed out of the factory. Thus they can be bent at will and last as long as expected. Flooring aluminium plates for trailers can be as thick as 5mm. They can be either mill finish or surface treated with anodizing, embossing or color coating. Sometimes the methods are combined. Needless to say, the more the process steps, the longer the service life. Fourth, the PDVF paint of the sheet is so durable that a trailer body lasts two decades without color fading.
