- Aluminum Foil For Disposable Containers
- Aluminum foil for disposable containers, with its core advantages of food-grade safety, easy molding, high-temperature resistance, and recyclability, has served over 50 disposable container manufacturers worldwide, covering multiple scenarios including catering packaging, food packaging, baking and takeout. It has passed domestic and international food contact safety certifications, becoming a mainstream preferred material in the catering packaging industry, balancing practicality and environmental friendliness.

Aluminum foil for disposable containers is primarily subdivided by container type, usage scenario, and thickness, rejecting generic designs and perfectly matching actual production and application needs.
Our catering packaging aluminum foil prioritizes easy folding and leak-proof properties, with a thickness ranging from 0.08 to 0.12 mm. It's suitable for stamping disposable lunch boxes and takeout bowls. Our exported products to Southeast Asia and the Middle East have achieved a stamping pass rate of over 99.6% according to customer tests, perfectly adaptable to various lunch box sizes including round, square, and irregular shapes.
Our baking-specific aluminum foil focuses on high-temperature resistance and non-stick properties, with a thickness of 0.12-0.15 mm and a special non-stick surface treatment. Suitable for cake molds, tart trays, baking pans, and other baking containers, it can directly contact food and withstand temperatures up to 220℃, preventing baked goods from sticking. It's already used by baking packaging companies in Europe and North America.
Our food preservation aluminum foil prioritizes thinness and airtightness, with a thickness of 0.06-0.08 mm. Excellent flexibility allows it to tightly wrap food or container openings, blocking air and moisture, extending food shelf life. Suitable for homes and convenience stores, this is one of our fastest-growing export categories.
In addition, our custom-made thickened aluminum foil (0.15-0.20mm) is suitable for heavy-duty disposable containers, capable of holding soups and high-temperature ingredients, solving leakage and deformation problems.
The precision of the aluminum foil specifications for disposable containers directly determines the container forming effect, user experience, and production cost. Relying on a mature production system, we have established comprehensive specification standards, balancing production efficiency and product quality. For alloy selection, we mainly use 3003 and 3004 aluminum alloys, with extremely low impurity content, and no harmful heavy metals, fully complying with food contact aluminum foil standards. The 3003 alloy has better flexibility and is suitable for thin aluminum foil (0.06-0.10mm), while the 3004 alloy has higher strength and is suitable for thicker aluminum foil (0.12-0.20mm), accounting for more than 85% of our total production capacity. Thickness specifications cover 0.06-0.20mm, with tolerances precisely controlled within ±0.003mm. Produced using a four-roll precision rolling mill, it solves industry pain points such as the easy tearing of thin foil and the difficulty of forming thick foil. Width covers 200-1500mm and can be customized according to customer container mold dimensions, adapting to the stamping and cutting needs of different container sizes. The core adopts the 76mm international standard, compatible with mainstream global container production equipment, reducing customer equipment adjustment costs. In terms of temper, it offers a dual choice of O-state (fully soft) and H14 semi-rigid state. The O-state aluminum foil has an elongation rate of ≥32%, suitable for stamping complex irregularly shaped containers, without cracks or springback; the H14 semi-rigid aluminum foil has moderate strength, suitable for forming simple lunch boxes and bowls, improving production efficiency.
The core competitiveness of disposable container aluminum foil stems from its food-grade safety characteristics and our optimized processes, perfectly adapting to the usage scenarios of disposable containers.
In terms of safety, we strictly adhere to GB 4806.1-2016 (China), FDA 21 CFR 177.1550 (USA), and EU 10/2011 (EU) standards for food contact materials. The production process uses food-grade lubricating oil, resulting in no odor or residue. Third-party testing shows that indicators such as heavy metals and migration levels meet international standards, making it safe for direct contact with various foods, including high-temperature, acidic, and oily ingredients. Customer feedback indicates no safety complaints.
Regarding forming performance, by optimizing cold rolling and annealing processes, we achieve an optimal balance between the flexibility and formability of the aluminum foil. During stamping, it quickly conforms to the mold without wrinkles or damage. During cutting, the edges are smooth and burr-free, effectively reducing the loss rate during container production. Our products have reduced the customer's loss rate from the industry average of 5% to below 2%.
In terms of high-temperature resistance and barrier properties, standard products can withstand a temperature range of -20℃ to 220℃, making them suitable for refrigerator refrigeration, microwave heating, and oven baking without the need for container replacement.
They also possess excellent barrier properties, effectively blocking oxygen, moisture, and odors compared to plastic packaging, extending food shelf life by 3-5 days and addressing the pain point of poor preservation in disposable containers.
Based on our years of production and export experience, the practical advantages of disposable aluminum foil for containers are integrated across the entire chain, from production and application to cost and environmental protection, creating comprehensive value for our customers.
On the production side, we achieve large-scale continuous production, with roll lengths ranging from 3000-8000m, reducing the number of roll changes for customers and shortening roll changedown time by 40%. Simultaneously, we employ closed-loop quality control, with each batch undergoing safety testing, thickness testing, and flexibility testing, keeping the defective rate below 0.03% to ensure the stability of mass production.
On the application side, compared to plastic and paper containers, aluminum foil containers are heat-resistant, leak-proof, and odorless, enhancing the quality of food packaging. They are also easy to fold and shape, adapting to automated production lines and significantly improving customer container production efficiency. Furthermore, aluminum foil can be directly heated, eliminating the need for secondary container replacement, meeting the convenience needs of food delivery, baking, and other scenarios.
In terms of cost advantages, through large-scale production and process optimization, we reduce the amount of thin-gauge aluminum foil material used by 15%, resulting in export FOB prices that are 8%-12% lower than comparable manufacturers. We can also customize specifications according to customer needs, avoiding material waste and further reducing customer production costs.
As an aluminum foil manufacturer, our disposable container aluminum foil has passed major global food contact safety certifications, adapting to the technical specifications and market demands of different regions. For the North American market, our products meet FDA certification and California Proposition 65 requirements, emphasizing environmental friendliness and recyclability, with annual exports exceeding 3,500 tons. For the European market, we strictly adhere to EU 10/2011 standards, providing chromium-free passivation solutions to meet environmental requirements. For the Southeast Asian and Middle Eastern markets, we optimize aluminum foil thickness and flexibility to adapt to the high-temperature and high-humidity environments, solving problems such as container deformation and leakage. We have established a professional technical service team to provide customized support to global customers, including specification customization, molding parameter guidance, and packaging optimization. For example, we optimized aluminum foil width for African customers to fit their small disposable food container production equipment; and we provided customized non-stick coatings for baking customers to enhance product usability.
